The short version

  • No sign-up needed. Pass-and-play works offline, and you never have to give us your name or email.
  • Online play uses an anonymous account ID and the nickname you choose, so other players can see who they're playing.
  • Ads are served by Google AdMob. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent first, and you can change your choice at any time.
  • We don't sell your personal information, and we don't collect your contacts, photos, precise location or microphone.
  • You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see how).

1. Who we are

Ludo 3D (the "App") is published by Vikramshila Softwares ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what information the App collects, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the App on Android and iOS and to this website.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

  • Nickname. The display name you enter for online play (default "Player"). Other players in your match can see it. Please don't use your real full name or anything identifying.
  • Player names in local games. Names typed for pass-and-play stay on your device and are never uploaded.
  • Google account (optional). If you choose to link a Google account to keep your profile across devices, Google shares your name, email address, profile picture and a Google account ID with us through Firebase Authentication.
  • Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write.

Information created when you play online

  • Anonymous account ID. When you first go online, Firebase Authentication creates a random user ID for your installation. It is not linked to your name or email unless you link a Google account.
  • Profile and stats. Your nickname, the number of Ludo and Snakes & Ladders games you've played and won, and the room you are currently in.
  • Rooms and matches. Room codes, the players and colours in each room, game settings, each move and dice roll, whose turn it is, the winner, and timestamps.
  • Matchmaking. A temporary Quick Match entry while you wait for an opponent.
  • Online status. Whether you are currently connected to a match, so the game can skip a player who has left.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage analytics (Firebase Analytics): events such as app opened, game started or completed, dice rolled, room created or joined, sign-in, and ad shown or clicked, together with an app-instance ID, device model, OS version, app version, language, country/region (derived from IP address) and session information.
  • Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics): stack traces, device model, OS version, free memory and disk, app state at the time of the crash, a crash installation ID, and short diagnostic notes (for example, "joining a match").
  • Advertising data (Google AdMob): your device's advertising ID (Android Advertising ID or Apple IDFA, only if you allow tracking on iOS), IP address, device and app information, and ad interactions. See section 5.

Stored only on your device

Settings such as sound on or off, the token skin you've unlocked or selected, and your ad-consent choice are saved on your device and are removed when you uninstall the App.

What we don't collect

We don't access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, precise location, or files. There is no in-game chat. The App has no in-app purchases, so we never handle payment details.

3. How we use it

We do not use your information for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

4. Third-party services

We use the following services, which process data on our behalf or as independent controllers under their own privacy policies:

  • Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Realtime Database (Google LLC): accounts, profiles and online matches. Firebase privacy
  • Google Analytics for Firebase (Google LLC): usage analytics.
  • Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC): crash reporting.
  • Google AdMob and User Messaging Platform (Google LLC): ads and consent. How Google uses information from apps that use its services
  • Google Sign-In (Google LLC): optional account linking. Google Privacy Policy

We don't sell your personal information or share it for money. We may disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger or sale of the App, in which case this policy continues to apply.

5. Ads, consent and tracking

The App shows a banner on the home screen and under the board, an occasional full-screen ad after a finished match (never during one), and an optional rewarded ad that you can choose to watch to unlock a cosmetic token skin.

  • Consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland and US states with privacy laws). Before any ad loads, the App uses Google's User Messaging Platform to ask for your consent where it's required. You can change your choice at any time with Privacy settings on the home screen.
  • iPhone and iPad. The App shows Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", we don't access your IDFA and you'll only see non-personalised ads. You can change this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
  • Android. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in Android Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads).

Ads never change how the game plays. The unlockable skin only changes how your pawns look.

6. How long we keep it

  • Profile and stats: until you ask us to delete them, or after 24 months with no online activity.
  • Rooms and match data: kept while a match is active, then deleted or anonymised within 90 days.
  • Quick Match entries: removed as soon as you're matched or stop waiting.
  • Analytics: user-level data is kept according to our Google Analytics retention setting (no more than 14 months).
  • Crash reports: kept by Crashlytics for up to 90 days.
  • Emails to us: kept as long as needed to deal with your request, and no more than 2 years.

7. Delete your data

You can ask us to delete your Ludo 3D account and the data linked to it at any time, whether or not you still have the App installed.

  1. Email vikramshilasoftwares@gmail.com with the subject "Data deletion request".
  2. Include your in-game nickname. If you linked a Google account, send the request from that email address, or tell us which address it was.
  3. We'll confirm by email and delete your profile, stats, account ID and linked Google sign-in details within 30 days.

What gets deleted: your account ID, nickname, stats, linked Google account details and any Quick Match entries. What may be kept: move records from finished matches, with your account ID removed, and analytics or crash data that isn't linked to your identity, for the periods in section 6.

To clear everything stored on your device, uninstall the App. If you play without linking Google, uninstalling also discards your anonymous account; email us if you'd like its server copy removed straight away.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you, and get a copy of it;
  • correct it (you can change your nickname in the App at any time);
  • delete it (see section 7);
  • object to or restrict how we use it, including for analytics and ads;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what was done before;
  • opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising (California and other US states), which you can do through Privacy settings in the App or by limiting ad tracking on your device;
  • complain to your local data protection authority. In India, you can contact the Data Protection Board of India.

To use any of these rights, email us (see section 13). We'll reply within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first. We won't treat you differently for using your rights.

9. Children

Ludo 3D is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13 (or under the minimum age in your country, such as 16 in parts of the EEA). We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

Younger children can enjoy pass-and-play with a parent or guardian, which doesn't need an account or an internet connection.

10. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and stored on Google Cloud infrastructure. Our database security rules only let players read matches they're part of, and only let each player change their own profile and their own turn. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you and the relevant authorities about a breach where the law requires it.

11. International transfers

We are based in India, and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where data from the EEA, UK or Switzerland is transferred, Google relies on safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App changes. We'll change the "Last updated" date above, and for significant changes we'll also let you know in the App or on this site before they take effect.
